Yes we can offer private one to one training at your home or at one of our venues. Please contact us and we arrange this accordingly.

I have a group of friends interested in attending can we have a private class?

If you have a group who would like to attend a course all together, we can come to you and provide the classes at a convenient time in your own home. We bring everything you will need for the course, we just ask you to bring a blanket to help settle your little one.

  • Southfield Day Nursery, Cramlington
  • Wallsend Day Nursery, North Tyneside
  • Westerhope Village Nursery, Newcastle upon Tyne
When can I start Baby Massage?

Baby massage can be done from birth, but we prefer that mother and baby have had their 6 week post-natal check-up, or if not that you have aconfirmation from your GP or health professional to state you are okay to carry out this class.

When can I start Baby Yoga?

We advise that you and your baby have had your 6-8 week post-natal check-up before attending the class. Also baby yoga classes should not be attended in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

My baby has not been well, can we still attend the class?

We do not advise to massage or practice yoga if your baby is unwell – they usually won’t want to anyway.

When not to massage a baby?
  • After immunisation, wait 24 hours. If your baby seems well, you can massage, but avoid the injection site area for the first week.
  • Recently bruised or broken skin shouldn’t be massaged.
  • If your baby is having medical treatment or has any special needs, check with a healthcare professional about doing massage before starting, and inform us at Baby Connexions so we are aware.
  • Never force movements or go against a babies will. Stop if they are not enjoying it.
  • Don’t wake a baby for massage; ensure they are awake so they are able to give permission for the massage.
  • Do not massage a hungry or full baby – the ideal time is at least 30-40 mins after a feed. This sometimes can be difficult in a class, however we would advise to be gentle on the tummy area.
  • In general, watch and listen to your baby. He/she will tell you if they want you to stop. If in doubt, stop and check the baby is okay before continuing.
When not to practice baby yoga?
  • Yoga routines can only be undertaken after mothers have had their 6 week check-up. You should also not practice yoga if you are in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy and this is a new exercise, or if you have had any health issues.
  • Avoid the coordination and hip sequence, if any hip problems have been detected or if the baby is awaiting a hip scan.
  • Never force movements or go against a babies will. Stop if they are not enjoying it.
  • After immunisation, wait 24-48 hours. If baby seems well, you can practice yoga, but avoid the injection site area for the first week.
  • Don’t wake a baby for yoga.
  • Do not practice yoga with a hungry or full baby.
  • If your baby is having medical treatment or has any special needs, check with a healthcare professional about doing yoga before starting, and inform us at Baby Connexions so we are aware.
  • In general, watch and listen to your baby. He/she will tell you if they want you to stop. If in doubt, stop and check the baby is okay before continuing.
How can I pay for a class?

We accept debit/credit card payments, bank transfer or cash payment. Cash payments can be made at the venue, alternatively please email or call us for bank transfer details.
All payments for classes are required two weeks prior to the class.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full payment is required two weeks before the course begins, if there is a situation and you cannot attend, we will try and get you on the next available course in your area. If you need to cancel we request you give us at least a weeks’ notice otherwise unfortunately funds will be retained.

What happens if I miss a class during my course?

In most our classes we cover similar movements and strokes so you will still be able to participate in the following class if you are unable to attend. If we have a space in another class elsewhere in the same week, we may be able to accommodate where possible, but this is not guaranteed.
Please note we do not offer a refund for any missed classes.
